Review: Restless (The King Series) book 3 by Tawdra Kandle

Blurb:

When she agrees to allow Ms. Lacusta to help develop her powers, Tasmyn has no idea how deep and dark the journey will become. Trapped between fascination and fear, she moves farther away from friends and family, even her boyfriend Michael. Leading a double life forces Tas into decisions that will threaten her sanity and her future… and the very lives of those she loves.

So I just finished a binge on The King Series by Tawdra Kandle.  Fearless, book 1, was free for a few days so I decided to give the series a try.  I didn’t review each book individually, so I’m just reviewing book 3.  There is still a 4th book that will be coming out, Endless, but I’m not sure when.

Restless is the best of the series so far.  The first two books, Fearless and Breathless, seemed to kind of drag on a bit.  They all have given great character development and background.  Restless gave a little more adventure and action.  In Restless, Tas decides to work with Marica to strengthen her skills, but at the cost of lying to those close to her.  Rafe and Amber are the only close friends she has that she confides in.

As a reader, watching the decisions Tas makes, you just want to shake her!  You see the path she is going down, and at times she sees it too, but she continues to do what she is being led to do.  Nell is still a part of the story in this book, and I’d like to see what happens with her in the Endless.

Unfortunately, Michael and his family are not in this book very much.  After reading the first two books, you fall in love with them and want them to be a part of Tas’ life.  But, is it really meant to be?  I liked Rafe’s character.  He doesn’t hide who he is, and actually encourages Tas to explore who she is more.  He loves her and provides the friendship and support she needs at a rough time in her life.  Does she find love with him?

Overall, Restless was a quick and interesting read.  I don’t want to go into too much detail because it will give away the story, but I was not disappointed.

I give Restless 4 out of 5 stars!
